Required Documents

Know exactly what to gather before your mortgage application — so you can move fast when it matters.

To ensure a smooth and efficient process, we only request documents after you receive your Loan Estimate and Home Loan Toolkit, and after you provide verbal or written "intent to proceed." Before that, we may ask for preliminary information to evaluate your application. The documents below are commonly requested for a new mortgage loan.

General Requirements

Past two (2) years W-2 statements
Pay stubs covering the last 30 days
Two most recent monthly bank statements

Additional Items by Loan Type

Refinance

Current mortgage statement

Purchase

Signed purchase contract, realtor contact information, and condo association contact information (if applicable)

VA Loan

DD Form 214 (Long Form)

Divorced Borrowers

Fully executed divorce decree

Self-Employed, Commission, Sales, or Rental Property Owners

Two years of signed personal tax returns (including all schedules); if self-employed through a corporation, include two years of corporate returns plus a year-to-date profit & loss statement and balance sheet

Different loan programs (FHA, Conventional, Non-QM, etc.) have varying documentation needs. We'll tailor the list specifically to your situation and chosen program.
